Abstract : Saudi Arabia has witnessed an obvious development in establishing a wide modern highways network to connect the regions of the country. In spite of the high standards of many of these highways, traffic accidents statistics show high percentages of injuries and fatalities. Due to the importance of Jeddah-Al-Madinah Freeway, this study analyzes the traffic accidents which occurred on it during the years 1410, 1411 and 1412H to investigate the causes of these accidents and recommend the appropriate measures to improve the traffic safety level of this freeway. Data was collected from Traffic Departments in Jeddah, Rabegh and Madinah. Accidents were analyzed, as dependent variables against some independent variables such as vehicle, road, driver and environment.
