Abstract : The study aims at investigating the possible effects of accounting treatments of budget deficit on the attitudes of decision makers in public entities. The study is based on analyzing responses of a survey conducted on a group of decision makers in the public sector who are in charge of deficit and financial presentation within their organizations. Through statistical analysis of pertinent data some basic results were obtained which are of importance to policy makers in the state. These findings come to emphasize the need to periodically publish the financial status of the state as it affects the future predictions of decision-makers as well as their operating plans.
